International

Since 1969, Orange Torpedo Trips has pioneered inflatable kayaking trips. From New Zealand to Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Nepal, and others— we have been running thrilling expeditions all over the world. Foreign expeditions are about so much more than just great whitewater in new locations. On our OTT international trips, we emphasize cultural immersion, focus on the food, and seek to understand the history of the places we paddle. This is a primary reason for why we work with local guides and do everything we can to make sure our trips are more than just boating. If you need a great adventure, join us as we travel the globe exploring the greatest rivers in the world and learn about the cultures that surround them.

  • Sun Kosi River of Gold

Nepal is well known for it's climbing and trekking. It's the home to eight of ten of the worlds tallest mountains, including Mt. Everest, the tallest single mountain in the world. What is less known about Nepal, it's home to some of the worlds best whitewater rafting. Many argue, and we would agree, the Sun Kosi River of Nepal is one of the ten best all-around rafting trips in the world. We combine a nine day trip on the Sun Kosi with a few days before the trip experiencing numerous world heritage sites around Kathmandu with a private guide to make this trip full of adventure and culture.

  • Usumacinta | The Grand Canyon of the Maya

The Usumacinta is the perfect escape from the cold of mid-February to the warm jungles of Southern Mexico for a week on the river.  Spend 7 days in the warm water of Mexico floating through spectacular jungle gorges, running class II and III rapids, and camping on pristine beaches next to the river. An added bonus, at a few of the camps the group can walk through the jungle to incredible Mayan temples, something you don’t experience on a typical river trip anywhere else. As a class II and III trip with a comfortable climate the Usumacinta makes for the perfect first international whitewater trip.
