Raft Rental and River Shuttles at White Water Cowboys, Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is included in a raft rental?

A. Your raft or inflatable kayak rental includes everything you need to go down the river. In a raft are the appropriate paddles or oars and a number of life jackets appropriate to the size raft you have rented. For details of what the packages include, look at the specific pages for Paddle Rafts, Oared Rafts, or Torpedo Inflatable Kayaks.

Q. Do I need a reservation?

A. Reservations are strongly recommended. If you have a reservation, we will attempt to have your equipment ready to go before you arrive, allowing you to bypass the line, pick up your stuff and be on your way to the river. Reserve over the phone or online to guarantee that you get the best equipment and get to the river faster.

Q. What are the rental options?

A. We rent almost anything you need to go down the river. From rafts, paddles, kayaks and frames, to coolers, dry bags and wet suits. If you would want it on a river trip, we rent it.

Q. Do I need a credit card to rent?

A. Yes. We require that we hold a copy of a credit card while you have our equipment. No deposit charge is taken as long as the equipment is returned undamaged. You can pay for your rental with cash or check.

Q. When does the equipment need to be returned?

A. All rentals are due back by 6:30 p.m. on the last day of the rental period.

Q. Can I pick up my rental the night before?

A. Yes, if you arrange ahead of time, your rental can be picked up after 5:30 p.m. the night before you plan on going down the river (subject to availability). Reservation and prior notification of early pick-up is required.

Q. If equipment breaks, will I owe for it?

A. Yes and no. It is expected that equipment will go through certain amounts of "wear and tear" when used, but any items that are lost or are determined to have been damaged due to negligent action, the renter will be liable for. See our rental policy below for clarification.
