When and where

Please fly into the Tribhuvan International Airport, also known as the Kathmandu International Airport. Let us know your flight information and arrival time. We will meet you at the airport and help transport you to the hotel. Please arrive sometime on October 15th, 2012.

Visa's

Visas can be obtained at the airport when landing in Nepal. Cost is $30 USD. and is valid for 60 days. Passengers departing from the Tribhuvan International Airport are required to pay an airport tax of Rs. 1100.00, approx $14 USD.

Please consult your physician. You will want full inoculations for asia.

Hotels

When you arrive in country you will be met at the airport and shuttled to a pre-arranged hotel. While in country on the trip schedule you hotel stay is included in the trip fee.

Things to Know

Offensive Gestures
• To show appreciation and respect, use two hands rather than one when giving or receiving something, even money.
• Remember not to point with a single finger but use a flat extended hand especially to indicate a sacred object or place.
• Among Hindus, avoid touching women and holy men the traditional palms-together "Namaste" greeting is preferable.
• Don't eat with your left hand and nor eat beef among Hindus.
• Try not to step over or point your feet at another person, a sacred place or a hearth.
• Remove your shoes when entering a home, temple or monastery (and leather items in Hindu temples) and avoid smoking and wearing scant dress in religious settings.
• Do not offer food from your plate, nor eat from a common pot, and avoid touching your lips to a shared drinking vessel.
