Deal 1: Lower Rogue River 4th of July Special
Start July off with a bang on the Rogue River Wild and Scenic section. Spend Monday July 2nd through Wednesday July 4th relaxing in the sunshine and paddling the white water of the famous Rogue River. At the conclusion of your trip on Wednesday drive out to Gold Beach and watch their famous fireworks show over the harbor. Deal 2: 2nd Annual Klamath and Friends 3-day Hotshot
As winter drags on, I start looking forward to that first weekend adventure of summer. Camping, rafting, traveling, and adventuring; a weekend away, something to get the blood flowing and the adrenaline pumping. This river trip is the best way to start the spring and summer season; camping with friends between great days on the river. Start your summer right, start it on the Klamath River!
Watch the video from last year. Note that the video has our old inflatable kayaks in it. This was one of the last trips we ran in the old boats. The new boats are even more amazing in these rapids!
We will have multiple video and still camera’s on this trip and the last night will be spent watching some of the video and pictures, which always makes for some great laughing.
If you like spending time with river guides and hunting out great white water, this is your trip. Spend 3 days during prime white water season in the Lower Klamath River area. We camp, we run GREAT rapids, we sit around the fire, and we always have a lot of fun. Actually, this trip is so much fun, we as guides all make this our season starter, and for the second year in a row, we are inviting you to join us.
Itinerary:
June 1st: If meeting us in Merlin OR. we will meet at 6:45 AM. If meeting us in Happy Camp CA. we will meet you at 10:15 AM at the Happy Camp Ranger Station.
After gearing up and going through a detailed orientation we will head down stream and towards the white water. After warming up with some big waves in rapids like rattle snake and pre-trench we will have lunch to ensure everyone goes into the more exciting, white water filled second half of the day full of energy.
At the conclusion of the day one white water we will head for a near by camp ground to set up our base camp for the rest of the trip. Here is where we will spend our evenings laughing, playing cards, sitting by the fire, and probably sharing in a few choice beverages. While the rafting is the most exciting part of the trip, the evenings in camp are just as much fun and just as relaxing.
June 2nd: Today we head for the Ike’s. It’s a day of big rapids with big waves. The best part is, these are all pool drop rapids with most having both easy and more challenging lines through them. After we stop and scout you can choose which way you want to go and go for it. There will be plenty of guides at the bottom ready to cheer for you when you make it through!
June 3rd. Day three is the day we re-run one of the first two days. Day three is highlight day because you know what’s coming. That knowledge gives you increased confidence to hunt out those waves you may have missed the first time through. At the conclusion of todays river running we will return you to either Happy Camp CA or Merlin OR.
