Rogue River Nugget Falls logistics

If you are coming from the Grants Pass area or north and plan on returning there you can meet us at the Rogue River Center at 210 Merlin Rd, Merlin OR. (head west off of I-5 at exit 61). However if you are coming from the Medford or Ashland area or are planning on heading up to Crater Lake we suggest you meet us at the trip takeout in Gold Hill Oregon. If meeting at the takeout we will load you in the van and head up river from there. When you meet us, either at the Rogue River Center or in Gold Hill, you want to be river ready. At the put-in there is nowhere to change. At the Rogue River Center we have changing rooms and at the Gold Hill takeout there is an outhouse you can change in.

Directions to the Gold Hill Oregon takeout on the Rogue River: Take I-5 to exit 40 at Gold Hill. If driving north on I-5 turn right when exiting Interstate. At first stop sign, (Blackwell Rd - hwy 99) turn left and cross the river. Follow road .4 miles to first right at Dardanelles st. Cross railroad tracks and follow road to the right at the stop sign. Follow Road 1/2 mile until you see a boat ramp sign on your left, then turn to your right. We will meet you in the parking lot. If you pass a baseball field you have gone 1/10th of a mile too far.
