Klamath River Hotshot Guide Trip
We are running a guide weekend to the Klamath River in pursuit of big early season white water and we are inviting you to join us. We have picked the weekend of June 3-5 for it’s historically perfect flows for the Klamath Hotshot and we are making a weekend of hunting out great rapids. Spend three days on our “Guide Trip” running exciting rapids, viewing beautiful scenery, and making new friends. We will have two fun nights in our “base camp” eating well, laughing and relaxing after our thrilling, but tiring days on the river. We will sit around the fire and watch video from the day and re-live the waves, the rides, and the surfs. Join us for this Klamath River adventure and become a part of the gang as we adventure down Northern California’s inflatable kayak white water heaven.
On this trip we will be bringing our brand new inflatable kayaks from Sotar and paddle rafts for those who want to be in a slightly bigger boat. So we have something for everyone who wants to go.
This is the itinerary of our Klamath River Hotshot but we are running it as a guide trip and dropping the price for you to a price of $599.
Basic Itinerary:
Friday June 3rd -
7:00 AM - Leave the Shop in Merlin OR.
9:00 AM - Arrive in Happy camp and pick up anyone who is meeting us there.
10:00 AM - On the river for our “warm up” day of mostly BIG class III rapids. We will see lots of air born inflatable kayaks flying over waves and rafts crashing through fun reversals. This is a great section of river and anyone who has done our Rogue River Lodge Trip will find this section to an absolute blast.
Afternoon: We pull out and drive to our “base camp” where we will set up for the nights and start the appetizers. The afternoon can also include some hiking or stopping for swimming in one of the beautiful side creeks if anyone is interested.
Saturday June 4th:
Eat a hearty breakfast because the big stuff is coming! After driving to the river we will gear up for the big stuff including The Ikes. Pre Ike, Ike falls, and Lunch Box. These, and many other thrilling rapids will surly give you the adrenaline pump you have been looking for and leave you satisfied to spend the late afternoon relaxing and swimming by the river. We will have another fun night in camp with delicious food, the days video and photos, and plenty of laughter.
Sunday June 5th:
The itinerary for day 3 will be dependent on the group and the river flows. The group may want to go find a section of white water not yet seen on the trip, or the group may just want to head back to the Ikes. This trip is about having fun and finding the best white water for the flow and the group. The group will talk it over in camp the night before and decide how to best spend day three.
3:00 PM - Group arrives back in Happy Camp to the vehicles of anyone who met us here.
5:30 PM - Group arrives back at the shop in Merlin.

We will have paddle rafts and inflatable kayaks so anyone can join us and experience it at the level they want.
