AAA Home and Away Magazine Rafting the Rogue River

We were lucky enough to have someone from AAA Home and Away magazine come on a trip with us last summer. She loved it so much she decided to write an article.

"My guide, Tim Satre, called back that our first run of rapids were coming up just yards from the put-in. So we hit the waves like surfers bobbing at sea and almost immediately the guy behind me flipped. Satre pulled to the side, grabbed him out of the river by his life vest and plopped him on his raft. I gingerly followed the group in front of me down the middle of the river until we leveled out on a class I.

“That was a class II?” I asked Satre. “Yikes.” I hadn’t tipped, but it felt close.

“You’ll get better,” he said...."
