Green rafting commitment at Orange Torpedo

At Orange Torpedo Trips we are committed to supporting the preservation of our surroundings. We are honored to take our customers into spectacular wilderness areas and share with them some of the most beautiful places on earth. We are working so generations from now we are still taking our customers to those places and they look as spectacular and untouched then as they do today.

To this end, we have take pride in constantly striving to reduce our impact on the earth through increased energy efficiency, “leave no trace” practices on all trips and reducing waste in all aspects of our operation. Some specific steps we have recently taken:

Purchased a new diesel vehicle. This has better fuel economy, and we are hoping to run it on bio-diesel as soon as it becomes available in our area.

Online registration for trips to reduce our paper waste

Moving to 100% recycled paper for all printed documents

Offering our main promotional materials only in online downloadable format to save printing and paper

No longer mailing printed advertising (unless it is requested)

Strongly promoting recycling at our operational facility to all customers, both guided and rental

Constantly working to increase the objects we can recycle on all trips and to reduce unneeded excess

Offering only e-mail newsletters to cut down on paper and mailing waste

Sending after-trip thank-you’s only via e-mail to save on paper and printing

Moving toward all-digital marketing in the hopes of removing print altogether
